Juli Giner

8 Rounds

Juli Giner 10(4)-0 vs. Ben Jones 15(6)-3-1

Giner has only ever fought Spanish domestic opposition — which, admittedly, is pitiful.

Stylistically, he has above average speed while keeping his high guard tight. One thing I like about Giner is his willingness to go to the body.

Even so, it’s difficult to gauge Giner’s talent until he steps up. Jones is just the opponent to offer him a challenge.

Jones isn’t necessarily more powerful than Giner, but he does have 2 KOs in his last 3 fights. He’s the kind of fighter to put pressure on his opponents, never giving them time to think.

Only a bona fide fighter can beat Jones. As it stands, he’s defeated Kris Hughes, Jamie Speight, and Akaash Batia. Recent losses for Jones have come against Stephen Smith and Lee Selby — amongst British boxing’s best fighters.

Prediction: Jones by UD.
