Al Sands 10(10)-1 vs. Bobby Thomas Jr 12(9)-1-1

When you see two fighters with such a high KO ratio, you tend to sit up and take notice.

Sands has the more eye-popping stats. He’s won every fight of his by KO. Since his last loss, he’s been on an 8 fight win streak. His most impressive win to date was his last fight against Justin Howes in which he won by TKO2.

What makes Sands possibly more intriguing is the possibility that he may be hiding a shaky chin. In his fight against Tyron Gibson, Sands was sent to the canvas twice in Round 4 before the ref halted the bout.

Thomas Jr. is similar to Sands in that he had an early career stoppage loss, and is now undefeated in his last 10 fights. Even so, he’s coming off a draw against Warren Browning — and that makes one wonder if Thomas Jr. has hit his ceiling.

Even so, Thomas Jr. has faced more credible opposition than Sands. He has wins against Justin Howes and Keith Barr, both of whom were previously undefeated.

Prediction: Sands by KO6.
